Once at the entrance of the cave system, it’s time for your cave tubing adventure through the ancient Maya underworld. Inside, you’ll see intricate crystalline formations that line the cave with a majestic rise and fall of stalagmites and stalactites that add to the serene richness and grandiose of Xibalba as it’s known. If there’s time, and you’re open to added adventure, our guides may stop at the mini waterfall and swimming area. After leaving the falls, you’ll emerge into the sunlight and free float downstream, ushered by the gentle current and little rapids, to the harmony of birds and natural wildlife which routes back to where the tour started.
It’s then on to zip-lining which gives you a bird’s eye view of Belize’s jungle while soaring through the treetops at high speed. It’s a short walk over to the equipment area where our expert guides will help outfit you in the required equipment.

Itinerary

Cave Tubing and ZipLine: This combo tour will depart from Belize City and head west in air-conditioned comfort on paved roads for a 45-minute drive towards Jaguar Paw. Once at the outpost, you will meet your tour guides who will issue inflatable tubes, headlamps, and life vests. You’ll be given a basic orientation and safety briefing before heading off on a 30-minute hike, which includes wading through a few knee-deep water streams. Don’t let the walk worry you, though; as it’s mostly on flat terrain, it is enjoyable and informative. The rainforest canopy shades it, and our tour guides will point out flora and fauna noteworthy to the area.

Amazing time during our cruise port stop in Belize City! Dennis gave great information via WhatsApp to help me find out where to meet and details about the tour before booking. It was super easy to find Dennis and Fred at the cruise terminal cause they picked us up and had a sign. On the drive to the caves they gave us information about Belize and the surrounding vegetation and history. Fred took his time with us on the cave tour telling us about Mayan history and making sure we were comfortable and the cave was amazing! Also had a lazy river at the end which was so pretty. Dennis and Fred went to a local lunch spot with us where we ate the best traditional Belize meal. 10/10 would recommend!

Given that I only had half a day in Belize City before my afternoon flight, this was the best half day tour to book with a city tour and a trip to Altun Ha. We departed at 8am from Belize City Water Taxi Terminal and arrived at 12pm at the airport, and Dennis Jr was a very knowledgeable, friendly and professional tour guide. He shared so much about the history of Belize and Mayan culture that I felt so much more knowledgeable after the tour. If you have limited time in Belize City, definitely book this tour with Belize Cave Tubing Tour as they’re really responsive and accommodating with my requests!

Great guides!! Everyone was super friendly and helpful! There are options to walk down from certain spots on the zipline if someone in your group needs to. And the walk to cave tubing is very scenic and beautiful. It's about a half mile to mile walk to the start of the tour. I recommend wearing chacos or crocs for cave tubing because there are time when you are walking through the river to get to the start of the tour.

Dennis Jr did a great job showing us around Belize! We did the cave tubing and the Mayan ruins. He picked us up from the cruise terminal, drove us around, provided lunch, guided us through the above mentioned activities, and took us back to the ship. 5 stars and would highly recommend and do it again!

Wonderful experience with Brett and Dennis. They were very informative about everything Belize - the history, the culture, the flora and fauna. They only take small groups so we ended up having a private tour. The cave tubing was so unique and my kids loved the zip lining. Tamale lunch was yummy too! Def recommend booking this tour over the large cruise ship group ones!
